The sunset’s fiery kiss to the Hudson today on the second day of December stopped me short in my tracks. These spectacularly beautiful days are altogether unmissable. I want to trap them in my fists, shut ’em tight and hold time in my hands. How does one let go of these evenings of flaming oranges and lavenders, rose gold and smoky blues?
The Christmas lights are up. It seems that Bayonne with its worn-out air can also go ballistic with decorations. Less is clearly not more here.
Such BEAUTIFUL pictures, Dip. Happy, peaceful weekend!

The sunsets are pretty, and maybe it’s just me, but those cranes at the port make me giggle because they seem so out of place.

Hah Jen, I used to find them an anomaly too. But such is habit that it feels okay now to watch containers being brought in by ships from time to time, a one-off chimney spewing smoke…:) xx

Those pictures are superb! I also love the way Americans go totally OTT with Xmas decorations – more is always better.

Your excellent photos accurately depict your beautiful prose. Flaming orange indeed! I also loved seeing the crunchy autumn leaves decorating the ground with their brick red and golden hues. But those Christmas lights and snowman brought a completely different smile to my face! Way to deck the halls – or front yard, as the case may be! -Lex

Thank you Lex! I am loving the dry autumn leaves too. Yesterday I walked miles kicking my way through them. They are piled high on the pavements and I am glad they have not been cleared yet. I shall try and get more photos of this Christmas cheer in ol’ Bayonne 🙂 Cheers.
